A contemporary garden in the foothills of Vitosha Mountain, designed as a soft counterpoint to the clean lines of the house. The landscape transforms the site's natural elevation into a lush, layered green slope that frames the spacious lawn and becomes a key view from the interior. Ornamental grasses, evergreen species, flowering shrubs, birches, natural stone, and gravel create a rich composition with varied textures and seasonal character. The result is a calm, living landscape that connects the architecture with its natural surroundings.

A contemporary house at the foot of Vitosha Mountain.
The garden of this single-family house was conceived as a soft counterpoint to the strict contemporary architecture. The main goal was to create a large, peaceful lawn — an open space for living, surrounded by lush greenery.
To achieve this, the change in elevation was addressed through a wide, densely planted slope. It creates a level area around the house while simultaneously becoming a key view from the interior — a layered planting composition with varied textures, colours, and seasonal character.
The slope is composed of ornamental grasses, evergreen and ground-covering species, flowering shrubs, and groups of birch trees, whose light-coloured trunks introduce a sense of lightness and vertical rhythm. At the entrance, a sculptural pine shaped as a bonsai becomes a focal point, complemented by natural stone, gravel, and low planting.
In this way, the terrain itself becomes part of the project's identity — a rich green frame surrounding a spacious lawn and a living, seasonally changing view from the house.
