Garden Renovation Area: ~3,000 m²

A romantic house immersed in greenery, surrounded by a beautiful yet somewhat “wild” garden.

Our approach was classic and fully in harmony with the architecture of the house. The aim was to create a quiet retreat — a place where, as you pass through a door, you feel as though you have stepped into another world, much like Alice in Wonderland.

Behind this idyllic setting was a fundamental, hidden, and highly complex challenge — solving the serious drainage issues. Water retention in the soil was causing the existing vegetation to gradually deteriorate. Before bringing new life to the garden, we therefore created the invisible foundation necessary to ensure its long-term sustainability.

A large, lush lawn leads towards a reflecting pool that follows the natural contours of the terrain. Its calm surface mirrors the white, fluffy clouds among colourful water lilies, creating a sense of infinity.

The garden gradually leaves behind a feeling of silence, tranquillity, and enjoyment, as everything around it gently dissolves into greenery.

Every plant was carefully selected according to the character of the site and the conditions within each part of the garden. Lime trees trained as an espalier create a natural frame and a sense of privacy. Groups of hydrangeas are positioned according to the available sunlight, while perennial flower beds combined with beautiful floribunda roses bring colour, softness, and romance throughout the seasons.

The existing gazebo was fully preserved, as were the two beautiful stone armchairs, which naturally found their place within the new design, complementing the romantic character of the garden.
